The giveback
Our mission to inspire young lives through the sport of basketball extends far beyond the court. We want to make a difference not only in their athletic endeavors, but their academic aspirations, as well. By giving back to the community, we hope to ensure that our future leaders are prepared for success. The EYR Backpack Drive is an annual event that benefits Boston's inner city youth and provides children from lower income families with the tools that they will need to be prepared for the school year. Since 2019, we have been fortunate enough to partner with Adidas to give away 200 FREE backpacks at the start of each school year. In addition to free backpacks, we also collaborate with other companies and organizations to fill the backpacks with full school supplies and other fun raffles and giveaways.
Community initiatives
In addition to the annual back to school drive, EYR basketball is also committed to creating change on the day to day level. At EYR basketball we understand that developing life skills will be more beneficial to the student athletes long term. Going into schools to speak and mentor kids is another way we use our UNLEASHED method to create positive change.
